​Supported Living

King’s House is our supported living home with our team providing round the clock support and care for 6 people with mental health,autism and learning disabilities. The house has easy access to the town centre, local amenities, health and social facilities. 

Our approach is holistic, providing the individual with a support plan that is tailored to their needs. Our aim is to provide a respectful, warm and friendly environment supporting residents to fulfil their potential, promoting resident’s involvement in shaping and monitoring services so they have real choice and control of the services they receive. 

King's House is non-institutional with high standards of accommodation. Our team supports each individual to follow and regularly review their support plan, assess residents needs through robust support planning and risk assessments in liaison with appropriate agencies.

We actively encourage integration into the local community with access to local adult education, leisure activities such as swimming, fitness, bowling, river walks, art classes, singing, day trips, volunteering and work experience.

We promote independence, emotional and physical wellbeing and our residents are encouraged (and supported) to access appropriate services and the on-site multi-sensory room which provides a relaxing space that helps with creativity, reduce agitation, stress and anxiety with the aim of stimulating and encouraging communication.

Respite Care

Caring for another person can be physically and mentally demanding and much more than purely handling day-to-day tasks. Especially when caring for long periods of time, the emotional strain can take its toll. Maybe you need to arrange short term care in order to attend a family emergency or other commitments. Respite care ensures that your loved one has someone there to help them if you are not around. We are able to offer short breaks on-site ranging from a weekend to a maximum of 28 days.
